PTFE compared to PVDF

2022-09-30
PVDF is slightly worse than PTFE in corrosion resistance, but the price is much cheaper than PTFE. It is mainly used as sealing, gasket, and lining material, and the most widely used is the production of high-end functional films such as piezoelectric films, solar backsheet films, and lithium battery separators.

Derivatives of PTFE - FEP

The full name of FEP is polyperfluoroethylene propylene (commonly known as F46), which also belongs to the F4 family and is known as a derivative of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). FEP is a modified material of polytetrafluoroethylene, which is copolymerized by tetrafluoroethylene and hexafluoropropylene. Among them, the content of fluoropropene accounts for about 15%.
